Meet Maryssa Litherland! She is the head coach and business manager of FXB East Peoria! Maryssa is thrilled to be in this role as she lives and breathes FXB every day and truly loves everything about this program!
Maryssa joined FXB in September 2014 with her husband and FXB has completely changed their lives! After a successful and amazing 10 week session, Maryssa competed in the 10K challenge and finished in the Nation's top 5! If you have the opportunity, please be sure to stop in and say hi! After having my first daughter in 2010, I couldn’t drop the last 20lbs and it wasn’t coming off because I was eating badly and not working out! My friends at work told me that the Farrell’s program focuses on the whole picture: diet, exercise, accountability, and a family atmosphere! That was it! That’s what I needed! FXB provided me someone to tell me how best to fuel my body, someone to hold me accountable if I didn’t want to get out of bed for the gym, and the best part of all-new friends! My first 10 weeks I saw huge changes, not only in my body but in my self-esteem! Becoming a fit member was a must after seeing those results! About a year into my being a fit member, I decided to give instructing a try. I loved it! It was a great opportunity for me to encourage others and show them what I had learned. It was also a fantastic way to take my workout up a notch!

We asked Mike what he loves most about instructing at FXB and he said "having the opportunity to lead others in this transformation process. Seeing and hearing the hard work done by the members!"
Jamey instructs both resistance bands and kickboxing for FXB East Peoria! A fun fact about Jamey is that his favorite fun day food is "cookies, definitely cookies!" We asked Jamey what he loved most about instructing at FXB and he said, "motivating and helping people make life changes to become healthy and happy!"
For as long as I can remember I’ve always struggled with my weight and body image. I fortunately was able to maintain a healthy life-style by staying active in my younger years. Once high school ended, it was a whole different story. We have all heard of people gaining the “Freshman 15” once college starts, well with me it was more of a “Freshman 60”. My focus turned to more of my social life vs. a healthy life. I tried every fad diet there was out on the market. Everything I tried was a temporary quick fix. When nothing worked I came up with every excuse that I could: “Their sizes must run small here.” “My clothes must have shrunk in the wash.” To when finally, I ran out of excuses. It got to the point where I didn’t even want to look in the mirror due to how far I “let myself go”. My FXB journey started in the summer of 2013. Some of my co-workers had been a part of the previous session and had amazing results. One of my best friends decided to sign up for the program, which was just the push I needed. Since then, I have never looked back. My first 10 weeks I had great results; I improved my mile by 2 minutes, lost about 11 inches and roughly 13lbs, but more importantly my energy increased tremendously. After my first year I lost a whopping 60lbs! With FXB I realized that it’s not about finding time, it’s about making time. At FXB we strive to get everyone to their “level ten”... to push to where you can’t push anymore. I thank God every day for such a wonderful program. I’ve been an Instructor now for about 6 months. Being an instructor has been the most rewarding part of FXB for me. I get to help push people to their level ten’s, but really seeing people make their transformations truly pushes and motivates me. At FXB we are not just a workout program, we are a family… I family that I couldn’t be more proud to be a part of.
